"simply Jesus and you"

I just finished "simply Jesus and you" by Joseph Stowell. It was a really good book and a great reminder. Jeus came for one reason and it was not about political or social agenda's, it wasn't about making people rich, healthy or happy. Jesus came because he loved people. His presence and His purpose was to love people and that's what he calls us to do. Love them. That's what your call and my call is and we need to embrace that call (or rembrace that call). It was not a long list of do and do nots but rather love and love more.

I love this quote:

"Have you ever wondered why you got stuck with so many wierd and troublesome people in and around your life? God may have placed you, as His frontline soldier, on a frontier where a breakthrough of divine love would make all the difference. As you allowHime to rescue and love and shepherd through you, you may find yourself participating in a most dramatic victory against the underworld. You get to be the warrior hero!"

and this one:

"What really counts is Jesus and your love for Him translated into acts of loving kindness towards those who intersect your life."

Makes it so much easier than all that stress and strain about what should I be doing and am I qualified and blah blah blah. =D
